“Brenden, Juan, Carlos and especially Carmine were the best moving team anyone could ask for! We have lots of high end items and they took such good care of everything!!! They were also very respectful and worked hard!”
I’m Cole Rowe. Rowes Moving Pensacola started in 2011 with a single box truck my father passed to me, and today it’s a full family crew working Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. We do things one way: you get a firm dollar figure on paper, you sign it, and only then does a mover pick anything up.
Sizing the crew to the job
A pair of movers handles apartments and most single-story homes around Ferry Pass or Brent. For a North Hill Victorian with a tight staircase, or a big Gulf Breeze waterfront place, we send three so it’s done before the afternoon thunderstorms. Brett Kinsella runs the historic streets; Marcus Ordonez takes the coast.
| Crew size | Hourly | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| 2 movers + truck | $135/hr | Apartments, one-bedrooms, flat homes |
| 3 movers + truck | $185/hr | Larger houses, stairs, three-bedroom-plus |
We hold a one-hour minimum and then bill by the quarter-hour. Padding, dollies, and shrink-wrap are already inside that rate — you’ll never see them itemized — and there’s no premium for booking a weekend day.
Typical signed rates around the metro
Before Marlene Whitfield commits to a number, she looks at your address, the floor you’re on, and how a truck can reach the door. From there, most Escambia and Santa Rosa jobs come in around these figures:
| The job | Flat rate, in writing |
|---|---|
| 1BR apartment, Ferry Pass or Warrington | $405 – $560 |
| 2BR flat home, Pace or Milton | $640 – $880 |
| 3BR East Hill historic house with stairs | $1,010 – $1,380 |
| 4BR waterfront home, Gulf Breeze or Navarre | $1,460 – $1,980 |
| Second stop at a storage unit | +$115 – $185 flat |
The parts of town we’ve worked
Pensacola splits into a few kinds of move. The old grid — North Hill, East Hill, Old East Hill — throws deep porches, skinny driveways, and century-old doorframes at you. Across the bay it’s a different animal: soft ground, long walkways, and toll bridges out to Gulf Breeze and Navarre. Broadly, they break down like this:
- Historic North Hill and East Hill homes: steep stairs, aging plaster, curb-only parking
- Mid-century Ferry Pass, Brent, and Warrington ranches and postwar blocks
- Gulf Breeze and Navarre waterfront properties with long carries over soft ground
- Pace, Milton, and Cantonment lots that sit a fair distance off the road
Working through Gulf Coast summers
We move households through July heat and humidity, so the crew paces itself, carries plenty of water, and keeps spare wrap on the truck. During hurricane season, June to November, we track the tropics and only move a date when a genuine storm forces it. Need a rough number today? Punch it into the moving calculator. Leaving the state? Read up on long-distance moving. Third-floor unit? Our apartment crew has that covered, and the whole team is introduced back on the home page.
