Are you a moving company?
Yes — Rowes Moving Pensacola is a fully licensed and insured Pensacola, FL moving company running our own trucks and uniformed crew, with a Florida intrastate mover registration and US DOT and MC authority.
What does a flat-rate local move run on the Emerald Coast?
Two movers and a truck are $135 an hour, three movers and a truck are $185, and both carry a one-hour minimum with pads, dollies, and shrink-wrap included. That flat number goes on paper for you to approve before we load anything.
Will you still move me during hurricane season?
We work straight through the June-to-November season. We follow the tropical outlook, set a backup date inside the storm window, and add tarps and extra wrap when the forecast warrants it. Should a system truly threaten the coast, we reschedule with no penalty.
Can you handle a waterfront or barrier-island move out to Perdido Key?
That work is Marcus Ordonez's specialty. Ahead of arrival we sort out Pensacola Bay Bridge tolls, the long sandy carries, and beachfront elevator timing, then wrap everything against salt air. Gulf Breeze, Navarre, and Perdido Key runs are second nature to our crew.
My place is a historic North Hill home with a tight porch and no driveway — will that be an issue?
Not for us — Brett Kinsella leads those jobs. Our crew is in North Hill and East Hill constantly, dealing with narrow lots, aging porches, fragile plaster and trim, and street-only parking. We tuck the truck at the curb without boxing in your neighbors.
How does the Gulf summer heat play into my move day?
We start at dawn to duck the worst July and August heat, rotate and hydrate the crew so the tempo holds, and wrap loads tight against humidity and salt air. Your furniture keeps moving and nobody's rushing sloppy work in the sun.
After we sign the flat rate, can it go up on move day?
It can't. At booking you sign a binding flat total that already reflects the full inventory you gave us. So long as that inventory holds on move day, the signed figure is the entire bill — no meter climbing past it and nothing sprung on you at the curb.
Is it the same crew loading me and unloading at the new address?
Yes. On a local Emerald Coast move, the movers who carry everything out are the same ones who set it back down at your destination. We don't rotate in new faces midway, and your move never goes to a subcontractor.
Can you pack up the whole house before move day?
Definitely. The day before the move, Marcus rolls the full-pack crew out to box everything — dishes, mirrors, closets, artwork, the lot — so the move itself is simply loading up and heading to your new place.
Do you have storage if my closing and lease dates don't match up?
We do. Short-term storage bridges that stretch when a beach-house closing runs past your lease end. We keep your belongings secure and deliver on your new date, still at the flat rate agreed to at booking.
What protects my belongings if something is damaged in transit?
Each job includes free released-value protection at $0.60 per pound to start. For added security, you can move up to full-value protection, which extends as high as $1,000,000 of cargo coverage on one shipment.
